For boys and men, the traditional Bhangra costume consists of several key components: the Kurta, Chadar, Pag (turban), and accessories. The Kurta typically reaches the knees. It is made from lightweight fabrics such as cotton or silk, ensuring comfort and ease of movement. The Kurta has bright colors and intricate embellishments, including embroidery, mirror work, and sequins. Popular colors include red, blue, yellow, and green, which contribute to the costume’s vibrant appearance.

The Chadar is a long piece of cloth that is wrapped around the waist or draped over one shoulder. It usually matches the Kurta in terms of fabric and decoration, creating a cohesive look. The Chadar often features similar bright colors and decorative elements to complement the Kurta.

The Pag, or turban is a long piece of cloth carefully wrapped around the head, creating a regal and traditional appearance. The turban is typically brightly colored and may include decorative details such as sequins or embroidery, adding to the overall festive look.

Traditional footwear, known as Mojaris or Juttis, completes the Bhangra costume. These shoes are often embroidered to match the outfit and are designed for comfort and style. Additional accessories can include the Tamba, a type of belt worn around the waist, and necklaces that add further decorative flair.
