I am including here some details on how to take measurements for costumes. Quite often I get measurements that are incorrect, and because of that the costumes don’t fit properly.
Here are a few tips on how to take the measurements for girls lehengas n choli/ long n short. These measurements will work for adults too.

This is a chart to help you with the measurements. It shows you what measurements are needed for the lehenga set.
Key measurements that will help me give you the best fitting costume are.
Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest. Do not keep a snug fit, keep it loose by atleast half an inch
Waist: Take the measurement around your waist, you should take the measurement at the line that you wear pants or tights.
Hips: You should take the measurement around the fullest part of the seat.
Lehenga Length: Measure the length from where you took the measurement for the waist, to the ankle bone. Always measure the length from the side of the body, not the front.
